I Would Describe Myself As
Well, I'm finally ready to take the journey to try and find someone that I can share my future with and find happiness. My friends, and others, describe me as someone with strong family values, driven, but likes to have fun, generous, and will do anything for my kids. I am ready to find someone I can share my thoughts and dreams with (I know I'm not supposed to end a sentence with a preposition; my HS English teacher is grumbling somewhere). At the end of the day, hearing, my kid's voices, or hugging them, often gets me through. In addition, I have a couple close friends that have been tremendously supportive.
You'll have to judge yourself what you notice when you meet me, but, physically, I'm somewhat vertically challenged (5 feet 6 inches), however, make up for it with energy, confidence, and lots of hair (fortunately). I exercise regularly and that is important to me, although I do not need to find someone that shares that same need. Given this, I think I'm in fairly decent shape for a 44 year old. People also tell me that I don't look 44 and still get carded, which makes me feel very good.
I am someone with strong family values, high integrity, and can be counted on to be there when you need me. I work alot, so, when I have some down time, I often like to relax by having some friends over for dinner, a few cocktails, and great conversation. My political beliefs tend to lean to the left as I strongly believe that the government, and individuals that are more fortunate, have the obligation to support those less fortunate. Hey, I live in Ann Arbor, what do you expect? Well, enough about me; what am I looking for in someone?
I'm really looking for someone that I can share my life with, likes what I like, has some physical appeal (I'm interested in substance, but, I'm still human), and likes me for who I am. That last attribute is probably most important because I believe that is what I didn't find in my last relationship. I'm a work hard, play hard (play hard for a 44 year old, mind you) type of guy, that is not for everyone. The nature of my job sometimes entails working evenings / weekends, and that's not for everyone. Same with the 'play hard'. When I have some downtime, I like to take advantage of it. Back to what I'm looking for in someone. My one shallow requirement is that she needs to be shorter than I am. I know I should be way past that, but I guess my high school years when I sometimes got thrown into lockers, still haunt me. Just kidding, but, really prefer someone shorter than me. Also need someone who likes kids as I have two daughters 13 and 10 that are the treasures of my life.
And, finally, I'd love someone to give their honest opinion of my hair and if I should keep the Samson look or become an adult (ughh!).
